Internet Browsers

Some websites and library resources do not work well when using Internet Explorer within WA Health.
Contact the HIN Service Desk (1300 170 089or log a job to have Internet Explorer 11 or Chrome installed on your work computer.

BrowZine My Articles available now!

We are very excited to announce that My Articles is available via CAHS library collection. With My Articles, you will be able to organise all articles subscribed by PMH library found in BrowZine into collections, then sync these collections across devices.

Find an article in BrowZine while riding the bus or on a train and want to read it later? Save it to My Articles! Then, once at your office or home, go to My Articles in BrowZine.com and continue your research.

The current Saved Articles feature on mobile devices will be automatically migrated to My Articles. Starting January 16, simply install the new version of BrowZine to your device from the iOS or Android store. Similarly, My Articles will appear as a live feature in BrowZine.com. To learn more, visit our new My Articles Support

Announcement to Clinical Staff at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children

UpToDate® clinical decision support is now available anytime, anywhere, including on your mobile device

UpToDate Evidence based Clinical Decision Support:

UpToDate includes more than 10,000 topics covering general internal medicine and more than 22 specialties; a drug database and drug interaction tool (in partnership with Lexicomp®); nearly 1,500 patient education topics; more than 27,000 graphics and links to more than 380,000 references. Here’s what you get with UpToDate Anywhere:

  • Easy access to UpToDate by logging in from any computer with an Internet connection
  • Free continuing education credit (CME/CE/CPD) when you research a clinical questionusing UpToDate onsite or remotely including on your mobile device.

Registration is easy:

  1. Access UpToDate via by going to www.uptodate.com/online from any computer within PMH hospital network via CAHS library website
  2. Click on Log in/Register in the top navigation bar of the UpToDate log in page 
  3. Create a unique user name and password on the UpToDate Anywhere registration page
  4. You are now registered and will receive a confirmation email with information about installing the UpToDate Mobile  App
  5. To maintain your access to UpToDate you will need to confirm your affiliation with Princess Margaret Hospital for Children every 90 days. To do this simply login to UpToDate from within the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children network.
